Facilities

The Department of Information Science and Engineering (IS&E) at our institution takes pride in its robust infrastructure and cutting-edge facilities designed to foster a conducive learning environment. Ample class and tutorial rooms, most of which are equipped with modern projectors, facilitate interactive and technology-enhanced teaching. The department's commitment to practical education is evident in its well-equipped laboratories, featuring advanced research infrastructure. These laboratories provide students with hands-on experience, aligning with the latest technologies and interdisciplinary approaches. To emphasize holistic learning, the department has strategically incorporated industry-based labs, ensuring students are well-prepared for real-world challenges.

Alan Turing Laboratory

Bill Gates Laboratory

The Information Science and Engineering (IS&E) department boasts three well-equipped labs, each featuring computers powered by the 12th Gen Intel Corei5-12500 processor running at 3.00 GHz, complemented by 8.00 GB of RAM. The input devices consist of HP-branded keyboard and mouse for efficient navigation. The department and campus are Wi-Fi enabled, providing seamless connectivity for students and faculty. The labs are equipped with HP P204v19.5-inch monitors for visual output, accompanied by DELL 1220 DLP projectors for presentations and collaborative work. The networking infrastructure is supported by a D-Link DES – 1024D network switch, offering 24 ports at 100/1000Mbps for robust connectivity. This configuration, coupled with the networking capabilities, creates a conducive environment for academic and research activities within the department.

Department Library

The Information Science and Engineering (IS&E) department library is dedicated to supporting students and faculty by providing the most relevant and essential books. The library is well-stocked with books exclusively curated for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department undergraduate courses. Additionally, it houses undergraduate student project reports, online access to previous year semester-end question papers, and PhD theses for both faculty and student reference. With a floor area of 30 square meters and a seating capacity for 10individuals, the library offers a conducive environment for research and study. Students and faculty alike have access to an extensive collection of e-resources through the Internet and intranet. These resources, which are IP-based, can be conveniently accessed via the Digital Library from any location on campus or even from the comfort of one's home.
