About JITD Internal Quality Assurance Cell

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been established in the college. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in overall performance of the Institutions. The IQAC has become a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.


The objectives of the JITD IQAC

To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the Institution.

To ensure stakeholders connected with higher Education, such as, parents,teachers, and staff,would be employers, funding agencies and society in general, of its own quality and probity.


Benefits of JITD IQAC

To ensure a heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and Excellence in Higher Education.

To promote measures for the functioning of the Institution towards quality enhancement through initialization of quality culture and Institutionalization of best practices.

To provide a sound basis for decision making to improve Institutional functioning.

To act as a dynamic system for quality changes in the Institution.

To build a better internal communication.


Functions of JITD IQAC

Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Institution.

Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality- related processes of the institution.

Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.

Documentation of the various programmes /activities leading to quality improvement.

Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.

To organize capacity building Program’s.

Preparation of departmental action plans and reports.

Encouraging the students and staff members to take-up research work actively.

IQAC Process of Academic Audit



The process of Academic Auditing intends to monitor and enhance the quality of technical education through proper guidelines for both faculty and students, so as to ensure professional engineers passing out from Engineering Institutions.

Objectives of Academic Auditing:



To review and ensure the quality of academic activities.

To define effectiveness of Teaching – Learning process and to devise methodology to get maximum output from faculty members as well as students. Academic audit and actions taken are carried as shown below.

Actions for Continuous Improvement:



Faculty members are deputed to Workshops/FDPs to enhance Technical,Teaching and Communication skills.

Academic audit is carried out in each semester for faculty members to check their preparation with respect to subjects.(Course file verification).

Feedback is taken from students with respect to faculty,course and facilities/infrastructure available. By referring the same,suggestions are given to faculty members by HOD.

Student counseling is done by mentors to identify the slow learners and necessary actions are taken for the improvement.

Remedial classes are scheduled for slow learners.

15 days once meeting is called in HOD chamber to discuss the coverage of syllabus, lecture plans and other quality deliverables.
