JITD Grievance redressal

The establishment of a student grievance redressal cell aims to address the diversesocio-economic backgrounds and geographic disparities within the student community, acknowledging linguistic and cultural differences. This initiatives pivotal for fostering the healthy academic progression of students.


Objectives:

Cultivate an unbiased and conducive educational environment.

Support students in accessing entitled university services.

Foster responsiveness, accountability, and courtesy among university officials in their interactions with students.

Ensure fair and impartial resolution of student grievances effectively.


Functions:

Address academic and administrative issues to provide redressal.

Coordinate between departments and students to resolve grievances.

Guide students in addressing their problems effectively.


Structure:

Jain Institute of Technology, Davanagere has Grievance redressal committee in the college for the students to lodge their grievances.

Mechanism for Registering Student Complaints:

The university offers both online and offline avenues for students to register their grievances. Additionally, students can approach the Grievance Redressal Cell and request meetings with top leadership if their grievances remain unresolved. At the department level, students can contact the respective Head of the Department to register their grievances. The Committee facilitates both online and offline submission of complaints for students, teaching, and non-teaching staff.

Procedure for Handling Grievances:

Students can express their grievances in compliance with university rules.

Committee framed for the redressal will conduct investigations and inquiries.

Analyze the nature and pattern of grievances.

Limited disclosure of the matter to involved parties with legitimate roles in resolution.

Escalated grievances are reported to the Principal.
