MACHINE LEARNING AND ITS APPLICATIONS

About the Event:

The Machine Learning and Its Applications training program was conducted from 27-10-2025 to 31-10-2025 for 5th Semester Information Science & Engineering (IS&E) students of Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere, with Dr. Likewin Thomas, Professor & Head, Department of AI & ML, PESIT, Shivamogga, serving as the resource person. The program aimed to provide students with a strong foundation in machine learning concepts and real-world applications while equipping them with hands-on experience in data pre-processing, feature engineering, model building, training, and evaluation techniques. Throughout the sessions, students worked with real datasets and mini-projects, enabling them to practically apply machine learning algorithms and methodologies. As a result, participants developed improved analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and practical skills in applying machine learning techniques to real-world computational problems, preparing them for future careers in data science and AI-driven domains.

FULL STACK DEVELOPMENT

About the Event:

The Skill Development Programme on Full Stack Development was conducted from 27-10-2025 to 31-10-2025 for 5th Semester Information Science & Engineering (IS&E) students of Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere, with Dr. Reshma S, Associate Professor, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru, serving as the resource person. The primary objective of the program was to equip students with essential end-to-end web development skills through hands-on training in both frontend and backend technologies. During the program, students learned to design and develop responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, build interactive user interfaces using React.js, and develop server-side applications using Node.js and Express. The sessions also covered frontend–backend integration and working with MongoDB databases for efficient data storage and management. As a result of the program, participants gained the ability to develop complete full-stack web applications, improved their programming and UI/UX design skills, and acquired practical experience in building real-world web projects, thereby enhancing their technical competence and industry readiness.
