It’s an endeavour to bring about expression of unity in diversity that holds together the multitudes of outlooks, lifestyles and tradition to reflect the ethnicity.
Jain Institute ofTechnology, Davangere encourages students to celebrate Ethnic Day every year. The day was celebrated in a most beautiful way and whole campus seems to be charged with an ethnic atmosphere.
Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere joyfully celebrated Ethnic Day – Parampare on 22nd November 2025 with the captivating theme “Chitra Katha Vaibhava”, highlighting India’s rich cultural narratives, traditions, and visual heritage. The campus was transformed into a colourful and vibrant space as students showcased the grandeur of Indian culture through traditional attire and artistic expressions.
The event aimed to revive and appreciate the legacy of Indian folklore, stories, and art forms, encouraging students to connect with the roots of tradition and cultural diversity. The celebration began with an inaugural ceremony, followed by cultural showcases inspired by classical tales, historical characters, and folk narratives.
Students dressed in traditional outfits representing various cultural identities of India took part in ramp walks, group and solo performances, ethnic display competitions, and thematic presentations. Creative stalls, art exhibits, and storytelling corners based on Chitra Katha added aesthetic depth to the celebration, filling the campus with festive energy. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, marking a memorable day that blended tradition with creativity. The celebration of Parampare – Chitra Katha Vaibhava reflected the institute’s commitment to nurturing cultural values while providing a platform for talent, imagination, and heritage appreciation
