Annual Report of Extension Activities – 2019-20

Sadbhavana Divas, observed on 19th October 2019 at Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere, was a significant event aimed at promoting national integration, peace, and harmony. The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Jain Institute of Technology (JIT) celebrated Sadbhavana Divas, also known as Harmony Day, as a tribute to the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. The event aimed to promote communal harmony, national integration, and peace among students and the community.

Objectives:

  • Promote the ideals of unity, peace, and harmony espoused by Rajiv Gandhi.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of communal harmony and national integration in fostering social cohesion and progress.
  • Celebrate India's cultural diversity and pluralistic heritage, emphasizing the values of tolerance, acceptance, and mutual respect.
