Various areas such as meaning and definition of Idea generation, Idea generation process, Idea generation Techniques, Idea generation examples, How to develop an online repository of ideas, and some examples of online repository of ideas was disseminated to the participants.

Dept of Master of Business Administration in association with IIC-JITD has organised a Workshop on “Digi Payments- Way forward to digital India” on 17th March 2022 at 12pm in MBA Auditorium. Dr Suhas D, Head of MBA Department gave insights on the benefits of cashless transactions and its importance. Mr Tulsa Chandra Naik, Retired Bank Manager, highlighted issues like weak passwords and unsecured networks make people vulnerable to online attacks, like login credential theft and phishing which could result in fraudulent bank transactions. Mr Ganesh Rao, Director, Canara Bank, Rural self employment training institute spoke about various Digital banking opportunity available to the banks such as More output more profits, more time with customers, mobile banking, more loans and more interests, and most importantly fastened services. He also spoke about the training opportunities which is available to the unemployed youth, organized and conducted by financial literacy centre.

A total of 60 plus participants attended the workshop and participants questioned the resource persons about student loan facilities.


“Innovative Styles to Employability in Start-ups-Unlock your True Potential”

Students & faculties from Jain Institute of Technology Davanagere, participated in the one and half-hour session. The session covered about the concepts on using power verbs and power adjectives in Resume, Self -management, creativity, and innovation in getting employed in start ups.

“DESIGN THINKING”

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Department of Civil Engineering, Jain Institute of Technology (JIT), Davanagere jointly organized one day workshop on “DESIGN THINKING” on 14/12/2021 at 9.30 A.M at Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere College Auditorium.


Ms. Rheeya, Final Year Student/IIC Student Coordinator of Civil Engineering Department, JIT welcomed the gathering. Ms. Mzasim Nazz Final Year student/IIC Student Coordinator of Civil Engineering Department, JIT introduced the resource person. Dr. Rahul Patil, HOD, Civil Engineering Department address the gathering and Dr. Ganesh D B, Principal & President IIC 4.0, JIT delivered presidential address. Dr Mouneshachari, HOD, CSE Department & Vice President IIC 4.0, JIT also explained the role of IIC. Staff Coordinators Mr.Kiran Kumar M S & Harish K S were also present in the event.


The resource person was Mr. Mahesh N, Centre Manager, CADD Training Centre Davangere, and Karnataka. He is B.E with over 6 years of experience in training workshops. He is a certified AUTODESK trainer and has prepared more than 25+ training modules, trained Students and faculties on Decision Making and Design Thinking. He was also awarded for delivering best training on Creativity Enhancement.


The participants were students and faculty members who participated in various activities related to Confidence Building, Design Thinking as a process, Team Building, Decision Making, Strategy Making, Thinking Right, Creativity, etc.

The one day workshop was aimed at offering accelerated training to the participants on the concept and process of design thinking to further apply the same in their life. It also aimed at providing them the understanding of flow and format of Mind Map, process of Empathy, Designing, Ideation and Prototyping.

Overall the session was highly useful for the participants.
